I do not wish to be contacted any more.

I am very sorry for the few people who wrote normal and polite messages, but in order to protect my mental health I do not want to read the incoming messages any more. Most of them (apart from spam of course) were impolite, demanding, sometimes insulting and in rare cases even threatening.

I have seen this trend for a while, but it got much worse over the Christmas holidays when I decided to spend some time with friends and family. Naturally this delayed the development of Catrinity for about a week, and apparently it is completely inacceptable for many people that there are other things in my life than doing free work for them. Over Christmas I got hatemail almost every day.

Right now (end of February 2026) I am also quite busy with other stuff, so monthly updates are not possible at the moment (which, by the way, I had never promised anyway). The backlash has started last week, and I know it is only getting worse. So the contact form is closed for the time being.

Currently I honestly regret that I ever started to give something out for free, and my motivation to keep the project running is at an all-time low. I hope that this changes when I don’t have to read unpleasant demands any more.

There will still be updates, I just don’t know when. I will also eventually re-open the contact form, but I don’t know when.
